As a Maine artist, I am enthralled by the form of lobster claws and thus made these wall relief sculptures.

I modeled an original lobster claw sculpture, while observing an actual claw. A plaster mold was made from this original.  I then press clay into this mold for the basic form. Individual surface details (the points, etc.) are added onto each.  Some of these are raku fired ( the white crackle, copper, and textured red ones). Others are stoneware fired in a kiln (Blue ones)
